How to Configure Value-Added Tax (VAT) for International Transactions

Member365 now supports Value-Added Tax (VAT) for all 27 European Union (EU) member countries, as well as additional international countries.

This feature makes it easier for organizations to serve international members and customers by applying country-specific tax rates. It simplifies tax management, supports international tax compliance, and ensures VAT charges are clearly displayed at checkout and on invoices.

  1. From your Member365 Administrator Dashboard, navigate to Financial Settings and select Sales Tax
  2. Click on Default Tax to view the available tax settings
  3. Scroll down to locate the list of supported international countries, including all 27 European Union                  member countries.

How VAT appears at Checkout

When a customer completes a transaction where international VAT applies, the appropriate VAT information will be displayed during checkout.

This allows customers to review the applicable tax charges before completing their purchase.

How VAT appears on Invoice

VAT information will also appear on downloaded invoices for applicable transactions.

This provides customers with a clear record of the VAT charged on their purchases.

Congratulations! You can now configure international VAT rates in Member365.

With these settings in place, your organization can more easily manage international tax requirements while providing a clear and transparent checkout experience for members and customers.
