How to complete your Link Branding

What is Link Branding?

Link branding allows all click-tracked links and open-tracked images in your emails to come from your own domain (ex. @member365.com) instead of sendgrid.net (for Global Email send) or eu.sendgrid.net (for Regional Email send).

This is important because spam filters and recipient servers examine the links in emails to assess whether they can be trusted and delivered to inboxes. These systems rely on the reputation of the root domain to determine the trustworthiness of links. By implementing link branding, you will improve email deliverability, as you will no longer be relying on click tracking through a domain you do not control.

Why do you need Link Branding?

Microsoft Defender has recently updated their email security measures, and link branding is now required to ensure that the links used in your e-marketing campaigns do not appear malicious.

How to setup Link Branding

  1. Ensure you have access to your domain provider.
  2. When you have confirmed you have access, email vishnu.patel@member365.com, and we will trigger an email from SendGrid. (We recommend that you ensure your login credentials are accurate by logging into your domain provider prior to responding to this email)

PLEASE NOTE - The email that you receive from SendGrid will include a time-sensitive link, so be sure to set some time aside to complete this task once you respond to this email.

  3. Follow the instructions in the email.
  4. Respond to this email again, letting us know you have completed the tasks.
  5. We will verify that everything is complete and respond to let you know the setup is successful.

If you need assistance with this configuration, we offer Zoom support. You can schedule a call with our team member using this link: https://calendly.com/success-team-365/dns-configuration. Note that before scheduling a call, ensure you can log into your domain name registry (e.g., GoDaddy, Rebel, or another service you used to purchase your domain).
